An everyday guide to wine in the capital city. I will focus on wine available in the Greater Edmonton Area. I may even write about wine events in the city. Cheers Carpe Vinum

New Brunswick Wine
Here is my first crack at New Brunswick Wine. There are little cottage style wineries popping up all over the place. Most of them seem to have started as fruit wineries and then migrate to more mainstream grapes. Lots of hybrid grapes like Marechal Foch, Baco Noir and some cooler soil varietals like merlot and Chardonnay. I love the fact that all the locals try to support the industry here. Still hard to find in any liquor stores just due to production levels but small amounts are showing up. It may be a while before we get any nationally available but if you keep your eye open do give them a shot.
